Rajma Masala

Preparation time :30mts,Cooking time:30mts.


  1. Red Kidney Beans :2 cups soaked  for upto 4hrs.
  2. 1 Onion.
  3. 2 tomatoes-Pureed
  4. 1tsp Chilly powder.
  5. 1 tsp Garam masala powder.
  6. 1tsp Hing
  7. 1tbsp Jeera.
  8. 3-4 Bay leaves
  9. Little bit Sugar


  1. Soak the Red Kidney beans and pressure cook for upto 5 whistles.Check that the beans are cooked.
  2. Grind together Onion.
  3. In a vessel heat oil ,add the Jeera and let it splutter.
  4. Add Bay leaves.
  5. Add the Onion & salt,fry till golden brown.
  6. Add the Chilly powder,Garam Masama powder,Hing and add Tomato Puree and cook for a 10mts.
  7. Add the Rajma and let it cook for about 10mts.
  8. Sprinkle the Sugar mix well ,bring to boil and let it settle down.
  9. Serve with roti and raw onions.
