Sailu’s Spicy Chicken Curry

Preparing the chicken

  1. Chicken 20peices
  2. 2 tbsp Curds
  3. 1 tsp chilli powder
  4. 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  5. Salt.

For Masala:

  1. 1 Large Onion Slices.
  2. 1 Tomato finely chopped
  3. 1 Green Chilly
  4. 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
  5. 3-4 cashew
  6. 2tbsp Milk.
  7. 10-12 curry leaves
  8. 2 cloves
  9. 1″ cinnamon.
  10. 1/4 tsp Cumin powder
  11. 3/4 tsp Corriander powder.\
  12. Oil
  13. Salt to taste.


  1. Wash the chicken pieces and marinate with itmes mentioned in that section for about 30mts.
  2. In a pan put some oil and fry the cloves,cinnamon and curry leaves,keep them aside.
  3. Meanwhile soak the cashews in warm milk.
  4. In the same pan,fry the onion with ginger garlic paste till golden brown.
  5. Add the chopped tomato and green chilly and fry till the paste leaves oil.
  6. Grind the above along with the soaked cashwes and the fried curry leaves,cloves and cinnamon.
  7. In the pan,which has left over oil add the marinated chicken along with the marinade and cook for about 5-8mts till tender.
  8. Add the ground paste,salt and enough water and cook for about 45mts.
  9. Add Water as necessary to keep the gravy at the required consistency.
  10. Serve hot with rice.
