Beans Thoran

Preparation time:5-10mts,cooking time:15mts.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 cup coconut gratings.
  2. 1 large jalapenos
  3. 2 Garlic cloves.
  4. 1/2 Onion sliced.
  5. 1 tsp Jeera
  6. 1/2 tsp Turmeric
  7. 1/4 kg Beans
  8. 1 tsp mustard
  9. curry leaves
  10. 2-3 red chillies

Method:

  1. Cut beans into small pieces,cook them with 2-3 tbsp water in microwave high for 2.30mts
  2. Grind together coconut,green chilly,Jeera,turmeric and garlic.
  3. In a pan,splutter mustard,add curry leaves and Red chilly.
  4. Add the semi cooked beans  ,salt and cover this with the ground paste and mix lightly.
  5. Cook under cover for about 10mts or till beans is cooked well.
  6. Serve with hot rice and rasam/sambar.
