  1. 1.5 cup Chickpeas(uncooked)
  2. I Onion
  3. 1″ ginger for the paste
  4. 1/4 tsp chopped ginger
  5. 1 Tomato Finely chopped
  6. 1 Slit Green chilly
  7. 2 tbsp Jeera powder
  8. 1 tbsp Chilly powder
  9. 1 tbs Corriander powder
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Cilantro leaves for Garnish
  12. chopped Ginger for Garnish
  13. 1/2 lemon squeeze
  14. 2 tbsp oil


  1. Wash and soak Chickpeas over night.Then pressure cook for upto 4 whistle on medium or till cooked.
  2. Grind Onion and ginger into a fine paste.
  3. In a pan heat 2tbsp oil.fry the paste till light brown.
  4. To this add all the powder and fry well for about 3mts.Add tomatoes to this along with slit green chillies and chopped ginger(1/4 tsp).
  5. Cook till tomatoes are mushy.
  6. Add the cooked Chickpeas along with its water and salt to taste.
  7. Mix and on medium heat bring it to a boil.
  8. Simmer and switch off stove.
  9. Garnish with cilantro and ginger
