Sweet Rice and Chanadal Khichdi

  1. 1Cup Chana dal
  2. 1 cup rice.
  3. 4 cups Sugar
  4. 1 Cup coconut grating.
  5. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  6. 4.5 cups water
  7. 1 tbsp Cashew
  8. 2tbsp Ghee
  9. 1tsp Raisin


  1. In a pan,fry Chana dal till it emit a nice aroma and does not burn,
  2. Wash this with rice and pressure cook it with 4.5 cups water for upto 4 whistle.
  3. In a pan,mix this cooked mixture with Sugar and coconut ,and cook till Sugar dissolves and the mixture begins to  thicken.
  4. Add cardamom powder,ghee and Dry fruits fried in ghee.
  5. bring it to a boil.
  6. Take off the stove and spread it out on a plate.
  7. Garnish with more fried dry fruits.
